About Us - The Poirot Cafe

The Poirot cafe is a bookshop and cafe combined. We offer our customers the perfect place to sit down and enjoy their favorite books with a cup of something delicious. We offer both food, drinks and books at affordable prices to make it inclusive and available to anyone.
Our customers can choose if they want to bring their own books and just enjoy the atmosphere and tasty food or browse after new books.

Our inspiration

The name and logo of the cafe is inspired by the famous Detective Hercule Poirot. The fictive character was created by British author Agatha Christie around the 1920`s, when the art deco style bloomed. Many of the most famous Poirot books were written during this period and therefore took place in environments influenced by the art deco style. As a result, many people connect the fictional character with the art deco style.
